법원, 개발자가 일정한 시간에 납품하지 않는 이유로 12.5L 지불명령. Court orders developer to pay Rs 12.5L for not delivering flat on time

In yet another dispute between developer and the flat-buyer, a court has asked Trishul Builders to pay Rs 12.5 lakh as compensation for not giving possession of the apartment.
Pankaj Khambre, a 35-year-old professor at an engineering college, had booked a flat in a project by Trishul builders located at village Undri Pisoli. The developer had agreed to sell the flat to the complainant for Rs 9 lakh and the agreement was registered between Hemant Buddhiwant, proprietor of Trishul Builders, and Khamre in May 2011. Khambre paid Rs 2 lakh as the booking amount and paid the remaining by cheque. But he soon realised that there was no progress in the construction. He would call and ask the developer when the building would be complete but alleged that the latter would keep making evasive replies. Eventually, Khambre demanded his money back. But though the developer promised to refund him, he failed to return the amount and the interest.
